Record group 91-37 consists of state forest plantation records (1910-1941, 1949-1959) from the Forestry Division of the Michigan Dept. of Conservation. Contains planting slips that document the state's reforestation efforts after the virgin timber was logged. Each slip shows a plat of surveyor's township; the topography, soil composition, drainage, and ground cover; the original forest, the character and extent of young growth; the value of merchantable green timber, the value of the merchantable dead timber; and the field notes for the coordinates.
